Top 5 Things You Can Do To SEO Your Website for 2017

5 SEO must-do things

hi my name is chase writer and today I'm going to show you the top five things you can do to SEO your website in 2017 this is a guest contribution for the effective e-commerce youtube channel and if you want to find out anything more about me personally i have a youtube channel that's devoted mainly to SEO I talk a lot about how you can do a lot of the

tactics we're going to be discussing in this video in more detail as well on my channel if you want to check it out it will be in the description so the first thing that you're going to want to do is make sure that your titles are optimized for whatever search engine you're using really whether it be YouTube Google even Facebook in certain circumstances and you don't want to have just exact match keywords

in your title tags these days anymore at least you can still have them but you should focus more on LSI keywords and when LSI keywords are are they stand for latent semantic indexing that means the keywords that Google or these other search engines associate your main keywords with the reason why you use these is because search engines specifically Google can better understand what you're talking about when you use other keywords related to your main keyword

so if you look at something like let's look at LSI graph which is a free tool you can use to look at your different LSI keywords we can plug in something like e-commerce I accidentally puts extra see instead of them and it will show us all the different keywords that are semantically related to e-commerce and you'll see them here ecommerce sites ecommerce website what does ecommerce mean so you can have semantic variations in

your title tags and still rank your content well without having those exact keywords the second best thing you can do for SEO in 2017 is to make sure that your content is also highly relevant to what you're trying to rank so if you have an article about how to you know set up an e-commerce site you want to have as much content as you can that makes sense you don't want to go

to the point where your content is just crazy and you you end up writing a bunch of content that nobody reads you want to have a lot of content though that people actually read and in there are studies that show that having 3,000 plus words highly outranks pages that only have close to you know 500 words or even a thousand words so long form content these days with contextually relevant content meaning you're also

using LSI keywords in that content it's going to help you rank higher the third thing that you want to do is if you can links are still huge off page SEO is something that you can focus on I wouldn't necessarily spend too much time doing it these days a lot of the things that people have been doing lately to get links are the popular techniques right now one of them is called broken

backlink building where you go out and find links that are broken already you try to replace them with your resources or whatever articles you're trying to write that you're trying to outreach with and then the other one is getting guest post on your own site via like some sort of expert roundup so what an expert roundup is is it's taking a bunch of experts in whatever your industry is or whatever you're trying to

rank for getting their opinions on your post getting them to write something and then sharing the article with them afterwards and then people are more likely to link to your stuff because they see that you're made a big article with them in it and people are more likely to share articles that they're in the first thing is to look at user experience so if people are going to your site and they're not

converting they're not turning into customers in there and they're bouncing off and doing something called pogo sticking which means they're going to your site and then bouncing off and going to somebody else's site you don't want that to happen you want to try to keep them on your site as long as possible and the best way to do this is to create really highly optimized pages for your users and in the way you

can do that is you can actually do certain use certain tools like Optimizely 2 A&B test your pages and see where people are clicking and and help them get what they're looking for faster based off the data that you can see you can also use tools like hot jar to use heat maps and visitor recordings to see where people are scrolling through out the page make sure that and make sure that they're getting

what they're looking for the last thing the fifth thing that you can focus on is user intent so not just figuring out what you want to rank for but figuring out what people are actually looking for for the terms that they're searching so just because somebody is looking up the keywords ecommerce doesn't necessarily mean that you should rank your article about e-commerce and ten ways to set up an e-commerce site because they might

be looking up something else and so it's really important not to spend your time trying to rank articles or things for things that people are not intending to find so that's really huge for 2017 and that's pretty much it if you can focus on those five main aspects you're going to dramatically get better results better rankings more traffic and hopefully some more sales conversions email signups whatever you're looking for I hope these tips were

helpful for you and I appreciate your time with me we'll see you later
